Q: What is a Knowledge database?
Answer. Knowledge –Hub is a collection of e- journals, e-books, e-articles, e-newspapers, e-newsletters, case reports, sample issues, jobs information, recent news/events/conference information(subscribed subjects), etc. on a single platform.
Q:How do I access Knowledge?
Answer. You will need to login using your USER NAME and Password. Please note that Knowledge is available only on Institutional Subscription. Other users who may have been granted e-rsources on a limited basis (eg Visitor accounts) may not have access.
Q: What is a full-text database?
| Answer. If some of the records in a database contain the full text of the articles, which can be viewed on and printed from your computer, then the database is a full-text database.Not all records in a full-text database will have the full-text of the article. |
Q:Can't I find these articles on the web with a Yahoo or Google search?
Answer. It is possible that you could find the articles, but not very likely. Most of what is found on these databases is not available for free. The library buys a license for these databases so students and faculty can access them.
Q: Which database should I use?
Answer. That depends on what you're looking for. It is often a good idea to start with Knowledge Hub because it has a wide variety of articles, journals, books, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, case reports etc.
Q: What is the difference between a journal and a magazine?
Answer. "Journal" is library shorthand for "Scholarly Journal". An article in a scholarly journal represents the research that scholar has undertaken. An article in a magazine isn't usually written by a scholar and may or may not represent original research.
Subscription
What are the subscription options?
We offer annual and monthly subscriptions. All provide unlimited access to Educative’s courses.
- Monthly – You receive unlimited access to Educative courses for 30 days.
- Annually – You receive unlimited access to Educative courses for twelve months. Full annual subscription price is paid up front. This option provides the best value on a per month basis.
- Team subscription - This is a great option for smaller teams who want to get started quickly.
- Connect with enterprise sales - You can introduce your dev manager or learning team to us at [email protected]. We can take it from there.
Can I extend my subscription period?
We are so glad that you have liked the courses on Educative and want to extend your subscription period. You can extend your subscription through here.
Here is how the upgrade works:
Annual subscription is $199, which works out to about $17 per month. If you have a monthly subscription for $59 and decide to upgrade to an annual subscription, you will receive credit towards your annual subscription.
Can I pay in installments?
We support installment payments through PayPal credit.

I want to explore the course content before buying a subscription. Can I do that?
We have a few options for you to check out Educative courses before you buy:
- Free courses - Educative offers several free courses, including ‘from scratch’ courses which are designed for learning a new coding language.
- Free 7‑day Educative trial - With our extensive library of hands-on content, you’ll be able to learn anything you put your mind to. Your free trial will give you access to the vast majority of our courses.
- Preview lessons - Every Educative course has FREE preview lessons so you can check out the course before you buy.
Can I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel auto renewal of your subscription through the transactions page of your account.
If you cancel during your subscription period, you will continue to enjoy unlimited access to Educative courses until the end of your subscription period. We will not issue a refund. However, your subscription will not renew at the end of your current subscription period and you will not be charged again unless you purchase another subscription.
Can I still login to Educative after my subscription ends?
Yes. You will still be able to sign into Educative and retain your course history.
Once your subscription has expired, you will no longer have access to paid courses.
Payment
Q. What is the method of payment?
Answer. Payment mode is only online.
Q. What if I order the wrong eBook and want to cancel that book & buy a new book?Will my money refunded?
Answer. No amount will be refunded, once the payment done successful.
Q. Is it possible to have a trial or to return an eBook?
Answer. There is no trial period. Once you have purchased an eBook it is not possible toreturn it
Q. What is the Validity periode of E-Book?
Answer. The Validity for ebook is 90 days.
Q. Once my subscription is over how do I renew it?
Answer. If you want to renew it you need to follow same process again and pay for the same.
Q. Are there any restrictions for using eBooks?
Answer. E-Books are for your own personal use. Due to copyright restrictions, you cannotshare, lend or otherwise distribute your eBook to anyone else. All eBooks areprotected by Social Digital Rights Management (Social DRM), which allows theprotection of digital content without inhibiting user satisfaction. Each eBook file istherefore personalized and contains both visible and invisible watermarks that linkthe file to the person who purchased and downloaded the eBook.
